How to use continuar in the present
In the present, the stressed u takes a written accent: continúo, continúas, continúa, continúan. Nosotros and vosotros have no accent: continuamos, continuáis. Use it for ongoing situations (El problema continúa) and to move on in a meeting: Continúo con el siguiente punto. The accent matters: continuo without it is the adjective continuous.
