How to use jugar in the imperfect

The imperfect is regular with no stem change: jugaba, jugabas, jugaba, jugábamos, jugaban. It is the tense of childhood memories and past habits: De niño jugaba al béisbol. Use it for scenes in progress too: Los niños jugaban en el patio cuando empezó a llover. Notice the accent on jugábamos, as on every nosotros imperfect of -ar verbs.
