How to use jugar in the present
In the present, jugar changes u to ue in four forms: juego, juegas, juega, juegan. Nosotros and vosotros keep the u: jugamos, jugáis. Use it for regular sports and games, and for roles: La confianza juega un papel importante. In Spain and parts of Latin America you say juego al tenis, while many Latin American speakers drop the al: juego tenis. Both are understood everywhere.
