How to use preguntar in the present
In the present, preguntar is fully regular: pregunto, preguntas, pregunta, preguntamos, preguntan. Use it for questions you ask regularly or right now. A very common pattern is the reflexive me pregunto si..., I wonder if..., which works like a softer way of raising a doubt in a conversation or email.
