How to use recibir in the present
Recibir is regular in the present: recibo, recibes, recibe, recibimos, reciben. Use it for things that come in regularly (recibo el sueldo cada quincena) and for receiving people: la doctora recibe pacientes por la tarde. In business, the present often refers to the near future: recibimos el pedido mañana. In stores, ¿reciben tarjeta? asks whether they take cards. Spelling stays the same in every form.
