How to use ganar in the conditional
The conditional is regular: ganaría, ganarías, ganaríamos, ganarían. Use it to compare job offers (allá ganarías más), for hypothetical outcomes (si jugaran así, ganarían) and in reported predictions: todos decían que ganaría. It is very useful in salary and career conversations, where it sounds less blunt than the present. With si and the imperfect subjunctive, it builds unreal conditions: si trabajara los sábados, ganaría más. The endings attach to the full infinitive, so there are no surprises.
Examples
En la otra empresa ganaría un treinta por ciento más.
At the other company I'd earn thirty percent more.
Si jugaran así todos los partidos, ganarían el torneo.
If they played like that every game, they'd win the tournament.
Todos decían que ganaría, pero quedó en segundo lugar.
Everyone said she'd win, but she came in second.
