How to use ocurrir in the present

In the present, ocurrir is regular, and you will mostly use ocurre and ocurren, since it is things that happen. ¿Qué ocurre? is a slightly more formal ¿qué pasa? and works well with patients, customers or colleagues who look worried. With pronouns, se me ocurre introduces an idea or suggestion: se me ocurre que podríamos cambiar la fecha. Lo que ocurre es que... means 'the thing is...'.
