How to use recordar in the present
In the present, recordar changes o to ue in four forms: recuerdo, recuerdas, recuerda, recuerdan, but recordamos. Use it for memories (no recuerdo su apellido) and for reminders: le recuerdo que la reunión es a las tres is a polite formula in emails and calls. Me recuerdas a alguien means 'you remind me of someone', and si mal no recuerdo softens a statement.

Do you remember the name of the Peruvian restaurant?
