How to use convertir in the present
In the present, convertir changes e to ie in four forms: convierto, conviertes, convierte, convierten, while convertimos keeps the e. Use it for conversions (convierto los precios a pesos), for what tools do (la app convierte fotos en texto) and, with se, for transformations: la ciudad se convierte en un caos cuando llueve. In sports, convierte un gol means 'scores a goal'.
