How to use escribir in the conditional
The conditional (escribiría, escribirías, escribiríamos, escribirían) is regular. It is useful for asking for advice on wording (¿cómo lo escribirías tú?), for hypothetical plans, and for reporting what someone said they would do: dijo que escribiría el lunes. Combine it with si and the imperfect subjunctive for unreal conditions. In requests, ¿me escribiría su correo aquí? is a polite way to ask someone to write something down.

La gerente dijo que nos escribiría el lunes con la respuesta.
The manager said she'd write to us on Monday with the answer.
Si tuviera más tiempo, escribiría más seguido a mis amigos.
If I had more time, I'd write to my friends more often.
